September-October

My reptile catcher

Adventuring

Granddaddy's Birthday- We had such a wonderful evening celebrating as one big family

Farm Field Trip

Can you find the hidden creature?

We were doing school outside and Sawyer noticed this "Worm Snake" crawling across the yard.

Ragin' Cajun

Jackson spent a week working at the fair for Old North State and Ragin' Cajun.

Parker gave Sawyer some frog legs.  He said, "They taste like chicken but I would rather eat chicken because I love frogs so much."

A rare photo opportunity:-)

Jackson, Avery, Parker and Jaycee, Chase's sister (Chase was getting something to eat and missed taking photos)

My big baby and my "little" baby

NCSU game

LJ being LJ- " LL Cool J"

He usually catches one of these, every few days.

Football in Fayetteville

Bubble's 2nd Birthday Party:-)
I have so many good memories of Pullen Park.  We don't go often but I'm glad that my children have been able to experience a little of that.

Ray's last catch of the season.  This didn't end well.  He says he will be back next season though.

Praying for Ray

Jackson giving Collin a pep talk.  There is a player on the other team who is known for threatening players (like I am going to shoot you and your family).  Collin let it get to him and ended up getting a penalty.  I could hear their conversation as they were walking off the field and I was so proud of what I heard Jackson say.

Jackson and Alex have been teammates off and on since we started in the league, four years ago.  Alex and Jackson have both played QB throughout the season.  Alex has a younger brother, Blake, who Jackson is close to but he is on JV this year.  The boys' mother told me that Blake always looks forward to the seasons when he and Jackson get to be on the same team.  Jackson thinks a lot of the Pettit brothers.

Jackson, Zavion, who is a senior, and Coach Stephen

Jackson and "Chevy"

Caleb, Chevy, Coach Stephen and J-  Caleb played a few years in public school and he said this league was meaner than Wake County Public Schools.  Our team did play at least one team that had players that wore ankle bracelets and another team that had a few kids form the halfway house.  We had some intimidating games this season and a few kids suffered concussions.  We certainly didn't go undefeated like last year but if you have to endure a rough season, at least endure it with families and kids that you genuinely love.  We did just that.  Webb says he wants to just sit on the sidelines next year or assist.  I think he is ready for a few months off from coaching.  Baseball tryouts are next month but we will enjoy family time until that starts up in March.

Thank you, Jesus, for keeping Jackson safe all season and thank you for healthy boys that have healthy bodies that allow them to do the things that they most enjoy.  It's a blessing to get to watch them grow and play.  May they glorify you, through it all!
