Sweet Alabama

Well, they did it! The West Raleigh 11U won Southeast Regionals in Alabama this past weekend.  Two big boys came home happy and Sawyer and I were SO happy that they came home.  Winning the title and the big trophy was just the icing on the cake.  Baseball is officially over for awhile and this year, it ended on a happy note.

Webb and Jackson got a chance to sightsee a little on the ten hour drive to Alabama.  They also went whitewater rafting.  I wish I had pictures of everything but the family photographer didn't make the trip;-)

Last night, we enjoyed the first night of no schedule.  I took the boys to a stable close by to see Amy's horse; Amy is cousin Ross' girlfriend.  We had a great time watching Amy ride.  Jackson got to sit on the horse and ride for a few minutes, with Amy's help.  Sawyer enjoyed watching the horses, playing in a sandbox, and playing with three barn cats.  I enjoyed taking it all in with my camera.

We have a few weeks left of summer and since nothing big is on the calendar,  I am especially excited.

States at the Beach

Jackson's team won states which means they are the Cal Ripken 11U champions of NC.  Even better (at least to the boys;-), it means that they travel to Alabama to play for the Southeast Regional title.  Here are pictures from last week.

This one doesn't love having his picture taken

When should we put him on a surfboard? ;-)

My handsome husband (who also doesn't like his picture taken) :-)

Someone has become very comfortable in the water this past week.

Someone loves to draw letter "S" in the sand, a skill he's just mastering since being here
