Well, I’m so way behind on this, like 7 months behind. I thought I created a draft this spring and just needed to edit and post but I checked and I haven’t done anything since right after Christmas. What?!?
So much has happened since January. The boys finished 10th and 2nd grades. Jackson wrapped up his junior year of Warriors Baseball. At the end of April, we went to Florida for the annual Homeschool World Series. The two little ones and I flew down the day after Webb and Jackson drove down. It definitely was the wise choice since Caylee doesn't like the car.
We’ve enjoyed a few trips to Troy and the beach. Jackson went to prom. Sawyer turned 9 and got the biggest slide available for his party, thanks to the help of his big brother and his dad.
Webb is starting a new job soon, Jackson will begin his final year of high school and Sawyer will start 3rd grade next month.
The biggest change that has come about this year is that we became caregivers for a then 4 month old baby who is now 8 months. She's brought so much love and happiness to our family. I wouldn't be honest if I said it's all been easy. We had almost no time to prepare for a new baby. 😂 We've all made so many adjustments to all the change that's come our way. We've felt a lot of frustration with the process. It certainly hasn't been easy for us to conform to the "system' and the demands but God revealed to me, just a few weeks ago, that this season has produced fruit in all of us. I often want him to take the hard stuff from me, which isn't really as much of the raising the human side of this as it is so many other things (the system) that are out of my control. I hope to look back and see all of the growth....love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. I am working to see it all for a greater purpose. We love this little girl and she's worth it all.
(I had so many months of pictures to upload and I know many are missing, some may be duplicated in this post, and some of our beloved family members aren't pictured with the baby. I don't have photos of everyone. Uploading photos to this blog isn't easy anymore since Blogger doesn't have an app now. After this year, I think I'm going to move all of my posts over to Shutterfly so it's easy for me to print albums for the boys. I'm years behind on that too. If you have photos that you'd like to share, that I can add to an album I'm making for Caylee, please text me or email those).
