15th Anniversary & Baseball

What do baseball and our 15th anniversary have in common?  A lot!  The West Raleigh Baseball draft was last night and Webb wouldn't have missed it.  I can't blame him.  According to the coaches, the draft is pretty exciting.  The talk of who is going to pick who goes on for a few weeks.  I guess it's kind of like watching a thriller on the big screen or reading a suspense novel.  It's funny how little it bothered me that I was sharing a big day with the coaches and kids of West Raleigh.  That's what Jackson and Sawyer have done for me!  They've completely changed the way I view EVERYTHING!  I think I would've been very happy last night eating a Chick-fil-A sandwich.   Instead, I cooked an easy dinner and headed out to the park.  However, I'm expecting a really nice and quiet meal on Friday evening and one that doesn't include me cooking or cleaning up afterward.

This week, we've spent a lot of time outside playing.  The weather has been awesome!  We also have enjoyed a few really fun play dates.  My sweet kindergarten through high school friend, Desiree, invited us over for lunch on Tuesday.  It was such a treat since we rarely get to each lunch together and rarely do our kids get to see one another.  Rylei and Sawyer are less than a year apart and Jackson is about 15 months older than Halei (and they were together in preschool).  The meal that Desiree prepared was so delicious and it really was fun to see the kids interact.  Today, we met up at the park with all of the cousins, minus Anderson, and even cousins Leah and Davis.  It was very busy and the toddlers were on the move so I only have one picture to share.

Jackson's tutoring sessions are going well.  It's been a good week of school.  Webb enjoyed the baseball draft last night.  Everyone is healthy.  We've been blessed with 15 (mostly) wonderful years of marriage.  I'm thankful!

Can you find Jackson in this picture?

Thanks to Uncle Christopher, Sawyer got to sit on top of the big rock at the park.

Feeling as big as his cousins now.
