The Padres are still undefeated in the tournament. We loss the coin toss last weekend which meant we had to play on Monday. Well, two games later and we are still undefeated. Tomorrow, we play the Marlins, the team that we were tied for first with in the regular season. I think it'll be a great game.
We've been very blessed with a great group of kids, families, and coaches this season. I have to say that I couldn't be more proud of my husband. He seems to be doing a great job delegating jobs to other experienced coaches. We've certainly seen the opposite of this over the years. I think Webb took notes. Also, I've heard so many nice things said about Webb as a coach. Most people have said that he's a great encourager. He's certainly had a few frustrating moments, I'm sure, but one thing that struck me a few weeks ago was the way he encouraged the boys not to get their heads down when they mess up. He said there's always another teammate that will pick you up. It sounds like a great life lesson to me. Anyway, I had to take a moment to brag on him. We all need to hear that we've done a good job and Webb, you have made me so proud!
