The Latest

We had a great weekend!  Jackson had two ballgames, Grandpa and Grandma came down for the day, Webb grilled out for a crowd of folks (while I went shopping:), and we went to a graduation party at the Walton's.  The downer was that Sawyer was running a low fever all weekend.   I ended up taking him to the doctor yesterday after we had a rough night on Sunday.  Apparently, teething combined with a virus (and maybe being overtired) was what caused his bout of two hour crying at 1:30 in the morning on Monday.  It was so unlike him, that I considered taking him to the ER.

Jackson got a new haircut yesterday.  I've included a picture.  He's ready for summer now and a little more baseball.  His team clinched first place in the regular season and the tournament begins on Friday.  We also found out on Sunday that Jackson was picked to play on one of the all-star teams.  Our baseball season has been extended to July.  It should be a lot of fun though. I'm just hoping that maybe the team will play some tournaments near Wilmington.  Hey, one can hope!

We got a chance last week to spend some time with an very neat guy from Africa.  His name is Joseph and he was staying with my parents during his first visit to the US.  Jackson and Andrew especially enjoyed talking to him while he was here.  I'm hoping that they learned a thing or two about Africa and Zambia.  He left us a lot of brochures.  Jackson has watched the DVD on Zambia or as he was referring to it, "Zombia" (I think he's saying it with the African accent).  When Joseph left on Sunday night, Jackson was teary eyed.  I think we all miss him.  You left a lasting impression on all of us, Joseph.  We hope to see you again sometime!

Life has been crazy around here lately but it certainly is like the song says, "Wonderful Crazy".  We are less than two weeks away from  finishing third grade; hopefully then, things will just be wonderful without the crazy.

Who says yogurt isn't a finger food?
