Months Behind.....Photos from Spring

I am so behind updating all of these photos from spring.  The last few months were spent around the ball field which included a week long trip in Florida for the world series.  Jackson had a fantastic first season on varsity and earned his way into the starting lineup.  We are so proud of the work he put in, his persistence and determination, and commitment to get better as a player and teammate.  He played many positions this year.  His coach said, "His speed and natural athletic ability make him able to play almost any position."

While in Florida, we ventured out to a wildlife persevere where we saw lots of birds and a large gator.   Once we saw the gator, Sawyer said that he didn't realize the gators weren't behind a fence.  I think he and I were both a little freaked out but it was neat experience.  Instead of doing a Disney park, we visited a place called Safari Wilderness.  We were the only family there during that time so we got a long private tour.  The highlight of that trip for me was feeding the lemurs. The baby lemurs were adorable!

Sawyer is still fishing, catching lizards, frogs and snakes with his barehands and catching the occasional backyard chicken.  He loves to visit friends that own chickens and he's always up for the challenge to catch one.

We finished 1st and 10th grades and all of the yearly testing.  We look forward to more baseball this summer as Jackson is playing showcase ball.  We hope to squeeze in a lot of trips to the country and wherever else the (more) carefree days of summer leads us.
